Sadhana is sustained spiritual discipline — the daily practice through which a seeker (sadhaka) advances toward a goal such as self-realization or devotion to a chosen deity. It may include meditation, mantra repetition (japa), worship (puja), study, breath practice, and ethical observance. Its defining qualities are regularity and intention sustained over a long period.
